朋友們伙人去逛街，通常都會(huì)去百貨公司(Department Store)，或者購(gòu)物商場(chǎng)(Shopping Mall)，兩者有什么分別呢？Department Store是獨(dú)立的商店，里面有不同的部門(mén)(departments)，如電器部、化妝品部、服裝部等等，而Shopping Mall是一個(gè)大的地方，里面有不同的商店、餐廳、游樂(lè)設(shè)施及開(kāi)放空間，所以要問(wèn)怎樣去購(gòu)物商場(chǎng)，可以說(shuō)：Where is the shopping mall?（購(gòu)物商場(chǎng)在哪里？）/Could you tell me the way to the shopping mall? / Could you tell me how to get to the

shopping mall?（可以告訴我怎樣去購(gòu)物商場(chǎng)嗎？）或Could you give me directions to the shopping mall?（可以告訴我去購(gòu)物商場(chǎng)的方向嗎？）。

【情景再現(xiàn)】

A: Excuse me. Could you tell me the way to the shopping mall?

A：不好意思，可以告訴我怎樣去購(gòu)物商場(chǎng)嗎？

B: Certainly. Go straight down this street until you reach the corner, and then turn right.

Keep walking until you see the McDonald's and then you go inside and then go out the backdoor,

turn left and cross the road and it's right there.

B：當(dāng)然可以。沿路向前走直到轉(zhuǎn)角處，然后右轉(zhuǎn)。一直走到麥當(dāng)勞，進(jìn)去然后從后門(mén)走出，再左轉(zhuǎn)，過(guò)馬路就到了。

A: How long will it take?

A：要走多久？B：我想大約30分鐘。

【知識(shí)擴(kuò)充】

人家向你問(wèn)路，假如距離太遠(yuǎn)，你可以告訴他：It's far from here. / It's a good distance.（離這里很遠(yuǎn)）、You've got a long way to go.（你還要走很遠(yuǎn)的路）/It's not within walking distance.（離這里太遠(yuǎn)了，不宜步行）。既然路遠(yuǎn)，最好搭車(chē)去：Take bus No. 1, and ask the bus conductor where to get off.（搭一號(hào)公車(chē)去吧，可以問(wèn)司機(jī)哪兒下車(chē)）/You'd better take a taxi（最好搭出租車(chē)去）。 假如順路，你不妨說(shuō)：I'm going there myself.（或It's on my route. / I'm walking that way.）。I'll lead you the way.（或I'll walk you there.）（我正要去那里，就給你帶路吧）。
