SEM Staff Position:
Program Coordinator for Executive Education in Applied Innovation, Leadership and Entrepreneurship
Job Description:
In general, manage and coordinate executive and senior educational programs in the areas of applied innovation, leadership and entrepreneurship for SEM. This position reports to the faculty member in charge of Executive Education and the Dean.
Relationship Management
Establish excellent working relationships with clients and prospective clients of executive education and preferably act as point of contact for SEM (both before becoming a client and after during delivery of courses). Work with SEM faculty and partners to design curricular programs and ensure client expectations are aligned with SEM’s expectations and deliverables. Also to the extent necessary, need to work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver programs, ensuring and facilitating smooth communications.
Planning and Logistics
Develop a business development/marketing plan, as well as proposals for each project. Plan and manage all logistical requirements including budgets, program materials, transportation and accommodation, and classroom readiness for example (pre- and during program).
Ensure all information is organized and presented to clients and stakeholders (including details around transportation, location of class or activities, preparatory work, if any, and curricular materials.
Analysis and Record-keeping
Ensure all client information is documented, each program is well-documented, and all participant information (e.g. name, title, and contact information; attendance, changes, and) cancellations. Further, conduct program evaluations (through distribution of surveys and individual meetings) for subsequent use in designing programs and reporting.
Skills and Experience:
B.A. (in any field): required
Masters Degree: strongly preferred
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Prior corporate work experience preferred
Strong organizational skills
Bilingual (Chinese/English): required
Proven ability to manage and deliver projects from start to finish
Self-initiative
Must be “hands on”
Proficiency in Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
