甘肅農(nóng)業(yè)大學(xué)工學(xué)院于2003年由原機(jī)電工程系和水利水電工程系合并組建,是學(xué)校目前規(guī)模最大的學(xué)院。原機(jī)電工程系的前身是創(chuàng)建于1958年的農(nóng)業(yè)機(jī)械系, 1992年改名為機(jī)電工程系;原水利水電工程系的前身是1974年籌備組建的“農(nóng)村水利電力專(zhuān)業(yè)”,1999年更名為水利水電工程系。學(xué)院現(xiàn)有水利水電工程、農(nóng)業(yè)機(jī)械化及其自動(dòng)化、農(nóng)業(yè)水利工程、農(nóng)業(yè)電氣化及其自動(dòng)化、電氣工程及其自動(dòng)化、土木工程、機(jī)械設(shè)計(jì)制造及其自動(dòng)化、交通運(yùn)輸8個(gè)本科專(zhuān)業(yè)。其中農(nóng)業(yè)機(jī)械化及其自動(dòng)化為國(guó)家級(jí)特色專(zhuān)業(yè)建設(shè)點(diǎn),水利水電工程為第一批次錄取專(zhuān)業(yè)。
2000年獲準(zhǔn)農(nóng)業(yè)機(jī)械化工程和農(nóng)業(yè)水土工程兩個(gè)學(xué)科專(zhuān)業(yè)的碩士學(xué)位授予權(quán);2006年獲準(zhǔn)農(nóng)業(yè)工程一級(jí)學(xué)科的碩士學(xué)位授予權(quán);2004年獲準(zhǔn)農(nóng)業(yè)推廣碩士(農(nóng)業(yè)機(jī)械化領(lǐng)域)專(zhuān)業(yè)學(xué)位授予權(quán);2006年農(nóng)業(yè)工程一級(jí)學(xué)科成為省級(jí)重點(diǎn)學(xué)科,2010年農(nóng)業(yè)工程獲準(zhǔn)具有工程碩士專(zhuān)業(yè)學(xué)位授權(quán)。2012年全國(guó)42所農(nóng)業(yè)院校農(nóng)業(yè)工程學(xué)科評(píng)估中,我校排名并列第10位。學(xué)院擁有農(nóng)業(yè)工程省級(jí)實(shí)驗(yàn)教學(xué)示范中心,甘肅省節(jié)水農(nóng)業(yè)工程技術(shù)研究中心,甘肅省旱作農(nóng)業(yè)裝備工程中心;學(xué)院與省內(nèi)知名企業(yè)聯(lián)合共建甘肅省農(nóng)業(yè)機(jī)械工程技術(shù)研究中心、甘肅省種子加工成套裝備工程技術(shù)中心、甘肅省農(nóng)業(yè)機(jī)械工程技術(shù)研究中心等教學(xué)科研平臺(tái);與科研院所和知名企業(yè)協(xié)議共建旱作農(nóng)業(yè)機(jī)械關(guān)鍵技術(shù)與裝備協(xié)同創(chuàng)新中心和河西內(nèi)陸河流域水資源優(yōu)化配置與節(jié)水灌溉協(xié)同創(chuàng)新中心。
工學(xué)院現(xiàn)有教職工90人,其中教授20人、正高級(jí)工程師1人、副教授18人、博士生導(dǎo)師5人,具有博士學(xué)位的教師17人,在讀博士17人,碩士學(xué)位以上的教師占80%以上;入選省“333”、“555”創(chuàng)新人才工程人選3名,省領(lǐng)軍人才第一、二層次人選4名,甘肅省教學(xué)名師1人,甘肅省青年科技優(yōu)秀人才1人。多名教師先后到美國(guó)、加拿大、日本、意大利、泰國(guó)、以色列、澳大利亞等國(guó)以及清華大學(xué)、中國(guó)農(nóng)業(yè)大學(xué)等研修、訪(fǎng)學(xué)和學(xué)術(shù)交流。學(xué)院在55年的發(fā)展歷程中形成了嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)治學(xué)、求實(shí)創(chuàng)新的辦學(xué)傳統(tǒng),培養(yǎng)了機(jī)電、水利土木類(lèi)本科生7000余人,研究生200多人,水利水電建筑工程、汽車(chē)運(yùn)用管理工程繼續(xù)教育本科生3000余人,為國(guó)家輸送了大批機(jī)電、水利工程類(lèi)高級(jí)工程技術(shù)人才。目前在校本科生近2700人,研究生200多名。
學(xué)院13個(gè)專(zhuān)業(yè)基礎(chǔ)及專(zhuān)業(yè)實(shí)驗(yàn)室整合為農(nóng)業(yè)工程實(shí)驗(yàn)教學(xué)示范中心,分設(shè)水利與土木、機(jī)電和機(jī)械工程訓(xùn)練3個(gè)分中心。與大禹節(jié)水公司和新三思公司分別共建節(jié)水灌溉及工程力學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)室,建筑面積6900平米,現(xiàn)有儀器設(shè)備4200多臺(tái)(套),設(shè)備總值3800多萬(wàn)元,設(shè)備完好率98%以上。建有水利工程實(shí)踐教育基地等18個(gè)校外實(shí)踐教學(xué)與研究基地。
學(xué)院積極開(kāi)展教學(xué)改革與研究,曾承擔(dān)教育部世行貸款項(xiàng)目1項(xiàng),近年獲省教學(xué)成果一等獎(jiǎng)4項(xiàng),二等獎(jiǎng)3項(xiàng),廳級(jí)獎(jiǎng)多項(xiàng),2門(mén)課程獲省級(jí)精品課程,校級(jí)精品及重點(diǎn)課程30余門(mén)。主編教材6部,副主編及參編教材40余部,發(fā)表教學(xué)研究論文70余篇。
學(xué)院近年來(lái)先后承擔(dān)國(guó)家“863計(jì)劃”項(xiàng)目專(zhuān)題2項(xiàng)、國(guó)家自然基金9項(xiàng),主持和參與國(guó)家公益性行業(yè)科研專(zhuān)項(xiàng)、科技支撐計(jì)劃等科研項(xiàng)目70余項(xiàng),獲省部級(jí)科研成果獎(jiǎng)30余項(xiàng),其中獲省科技進(jìn)步一等獎(jiǎng)1項(xiàng),二等獎(jiǎng)7項(xiàng)、三等獎(jiǎng)9項(xiàng),獲國(guó)家發(fā)明專(zhuān)利6項(xiàng)、實(shí)用新型專(zhuān)利60余項(xiàng),國(guó)內(nèi)外學(xué)術(shù)期刊發(fā)表論文1000余篇。其中SCI、EI、ISTP收錄80余篇,出版學(xué)術(shù)專(zhuān)著6部。
學(xué)院立足甘肅、面向干旱半干旱地區(qū),突出農(nóng)業(yè)院校工科專(zhuān)業(yè)特色和農(nóng)業(yè)工程學(xué)科優(yōu)勢(shì),實(shí)現(xiàn)規(guī)模、質(zhì)量、結(jié)構(gòu)、效益協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展,把學(xué)院建成在全國(guó)同類(lèi)院校及西部地區(qū)有重要影響的教學(xué)研究型學(xué)院。
Profiles of the School of Engineering in GSAU
As a combination of the former Mechanical Electrical Department and the Department of Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering in 2003, the School of Engineering tops for its scale in Gansu Agricultural University (GAU). Presently, the School consists of 8 undergraduate majors, namely,Hydraulic and Hydropower Engineering, Agricultural Mechanization and its Automation, Agricultural Water Conservancy Engineering, Agricultural Electrification and Automation, Electrical Engineering and its Automation, Civil Engineering, Machine Design Manufacturing and its Automation, and Transportation, among which Hydraulic and Hydropower Engineering was the first of the university earliest enrolling its students and Agricultural Mechanization and its Automation ranks in national level as a feature major.
In 2000, School of Engineering was authorized as a MA degree granting institution in Agricultural Mechanization Engineering and Agricultural Water and Soil Engineering. In 2006, the first class discipline of Agricultural Projects was also authorized and became the key subjects on the provincial level in the same year, and the discipline was considered acceptable for its outstanding achievements, after provincial assessment in 2010, when it was authorized as a MA degree granting institution in engineering. In 2004, Agriculture Extension (agricultural mechanization) was authorized. The school of Engineering has been authorized as the first Provincial Experiment Teaching Demonstration Center of Agricultural Projects, Gansu Water-saving Agricultural Engineering Technology Research Center, Gansu Dryland Farming Equipment Engineering Center, and other platforms of teaching and research jointly built by the School and Well-known enterprises in the province, such as Gansu Agricultural Machinery Engineering Technology Research Center, Gansu Seed processing complete equipment Engineering Technology Center, Gansu Agricultural Machinery Engineering Technology Research Center, etc. ,also two Collaborative innovation center co-constructed by the School and scientific research institutions as well as well-known enterprises: Key Technology and Equipment of Agricultural Machinery Collaborative Innovation Center and optimal allocation of water resources and water-saving irrigation along continental river basin in Hexi corridor.
Presently, the School of Engineering is well honored with 90 teaching staff, among which 20 are professors, 1 senior engineer, 18 vice professors, 5 doctorial tutors, 17 teachers with doctor’s degree, 17 are under their academic study for doctor’s degree, 80% possessed a master’s degree or above, 3 are awarded innovative talents for “333”、“555”at the provincial level as well as 4 leading talents at first and second level of the province, 1 famous teacher of Gansu, 1 outstanding young talent for Science and Technology of Gansu province, many professors hold concurrent posts of director and committee member in some academic groups, such as the National Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Project, Machinery Electronics, as well as professional institutions Education Committee of the Ministry of Education, posts of membership in expert committees of Gansu Engineering Decision-making Consultation Center, and executive director of Institute of Agricultural Machinery. Some teachers successively took part in academic training and exchange in US, Canada, Japan, Italy, Thailand, Isreal, Australia and some Chinese universities like Tsinghua University, China Agricultural University, etc.. Till now, more than 7,000 undergraduates in Mechanical Electrical, Water Conservancy as well as Civil Engineering majors, over 200 graduate students, and more than 3,000 postgraduates majoring in Water Resources Hydropower and Automobile Application Engineering have graduated from the School of Engineering, with its present undergraduates being more than 2,700 and graduate students being over 200.
13 basic and major laboratory constructions were merged into The Agricultural Engineering Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, which was further divided into 3 branch centers, namely Water Conservancy Civil Engineering Center, Electromechanical Center and Mechanical Engineering Training Center. A Water-saving Irrigation and Engineering Mechanics Laboratory was founded due to untiring efforts made by Dayu Water-saving Company, and Irrigation Engineering Mechanics Laboratory, SANS? And the School of Engineering, which has a building area of 6,900 square meters, more than 4,200 (sets) instruments, worth 38, 000 thousand Yuan. Moreover, 18 off-campus Teaching Research bases, including Water Conservancy Engineering Experiment Education Base were constructed.
The School is actively carrying out its teaching and research reform program, and great achievements have been made over the years, including 4 First awards and 3 Second awards of Gansu government excellent teaching, many awards at the Gansu province departmental level, 2 refined courses at provincial and university level, over 30 refined and key courses at university level. The School is the chief editor of 6 textbooks, associate chief editor and participator in compiling of over 40 textbooks. Additionally, 70 teaching research papers have been published.
Till now, the School has undertaken 2 “863 planning” subprograms, 9 National Science Foundations, hosted and participated in more than 70 scientific research project, including sci-technical support project, the nation’s special public welfare industry research as well as science and technology support program, and has won over 30 ministerial and provincial awards for research findings, with 1 item being in the first prize, 7 terms in second prize, 9 in third prize and 6 items obtaining national invention patents, along with more than 60 utility-model patents. Over 1,000 papers have been published in all kinds of academic magazines home and abroad, in which 80 papers are included in SCI, EI, and ISTP. The School has also published 6 monographs till now.
