信息科學(xué)技術(shù)學(xué)院成立于2004年1月，其前身是1992年成立的校計算機教研室、計算中心；2001年3月，校計算中心與校網(wǎng)絡(luò)中心、電教科合并，成立計算機與信息技術(shù)系。

學(xué)院現(xiàn)設(shè)“三系三部一中心”——計算機科學(xué)與技術(shù)系、信息與計算科學(xué)系、電子信息工程系、計算機基礎(chǔ)教學(xué)部、網(wǎng)絡(luò)技術(shù)部、教育技術(shù)部、信息技術(shù)實驗教學(xué)中心。學(xué)院開辦計算機科學(xué)與技術(shù)、信息管理與信息系統(tǒng)、電子信息工程3個本科專業(yè)。實驗教學(xué)中心下設(shè)計算機基礎(chǔ)與應(yīng)用實驗室、計算機硬件原理實驗室、軟件實驗室、網(wǎng)絡(luò)實驗室、電子與信息工程實驗室。學(xué)院設(shè)有全國計算機等級考試考點。

學(xué)院承擔(dān)面向全校的計算機基礎(chǔ)課和本院各專業(yè)的教學(xué)任務(wù)，負(fù)責(zé)校園網(wǎng)的建設(shè)和管理以及學(xué)校教育技術(shù)的應(yīng)用與教學(xué)資源庫的建設(shè)。

學(xué)院現(xiàn)有教職工52人。其中教授6人（外聘4人），副教授13人，講師25人，助教3人；具有博士學(xué)位的教師3人，具有碩士學(xué)位的教師18人，在讀博士7人。目前學(xué)院在校本科生730人。

近年來，教師主持、參加科研項目10余項。其中2項教學(xué)成果獲省廳級二等獎；發(fā)表論文150余篇；主編、參編教材9部。1人獲“甘肅省青年教師成才獎”，1人入選“2007年中國百名IT青年精英”。

信息科學(xué)技術(shù)學(xué)院將秉承“敦品勵學(xué)，篤志允能”的校訓(xùn)，樹立“教書育人，為人師表”的教師風(fēng)范，弘揚“誠樸博學(xué)，慎思敏行”的學(xué)習(xí)風(fēng)氣，進一步優(yōu)化管理，增強辦學(xué)實力，努力把學(xué)院建設(shè)成省內(nèi)農(nóng)業(yè)信息化方面有一定影響的信息科學(xué)技術(shù)學(xué)院。

Introduction of the College

College of Information Sciences and Technology (CIST) was established in January of 2004 on the basis of Computer Science Teaching and Research Section and Calculating Centre. Early in March of 2001 Computer and Information Technology Department was set up by emerging Calculating Centre, Network Centre and Audio Visual Section.

CIST, appointed as a unit for National Computer Rank Examination, consists of 7 secondary bodies, 3 departments(Computer Sciences and Technology department, Information Calculating Science Department and Electronic Information Engineering Department), 3 teaching sections (Computer Literacy Teaching Section, Network Technology Section and Education Technology Section) and 1 centre (Information Technology Experimental Teaching Centre, with Computer Basic Application Laboratory, Hardware Theory Laboratory, Software Laboratory, Network Laboratory and Electronic and Information Engineering Laboratory Under it). CIST offers undergraduate education programs of 3 specialties: Computer Science and Technology, Information Management and Information System and Electronic Information Engineering.

CIST provides public courses of computer science for all undergraduates of the university and specialized courses for those majoring in Information Sciences and Technology; It also undertakes the construction and maintenance of campus LAN, application of education technology and establishment of teaching resources database.

With an enrollment of 567 full time students, CIST owns 52teaching staff, including 6 full professors (4 invited), 13associate professors, 25teaching lecturers and 3teaching assistants. 3 of them has won Ph. D, 18M.S; 7 are candidates for doctorate.

Recent years some teaching staff in CIST chaired and engaged in 10 scientific research projects, 2 of which have won the 2nd class prizes of provincial level. 9 textbooks and more than 150 academic articles have been published. 1 teacher has been awarded the title of “Gansu Excellent Youth Teacher”, another one has been selected in “Hundred IT Youth Elites of China, 2007”.

Under the guidance of motto of “Being Sincere in Morality and Diligent in Study, Steadfast in Ideal and Respectful of the Excellent”，and teaching style of “Imparting Knowledge, Cultivating People and Being a Virtue Model for Students”, CIST will continuingly disseminate the mode of “ Being Honest, Simple and Learned, Accurate in Thinking and Quick in Action”, strengthen the administration and improve academic and teaching capacity for the purpose of building CIST into one of provincial renown in the circle of agricultural informationization.
