讀者 Kevin 問：on a tree 和 in a tree 有什么分別？
兩者其實(shí)沒有顯著的分別。有一個(gè)說法認(rèn)為 on a tree 是指一些樹木自然生長出來的東西，例如 leaves、flowers、fruits on a tree。有一首有名的民歌，開頭的兩句是 "I wish I was an apple growing on a tree/ And every time my girl walks by, she takes a bite of me"。
至于 in a tree 是指一些不屬于樹的東西卻在樹上找到。例如：貓看到樹上的鳥兒，也要爬到樹上。The cat saw the bird in the tree, and wanted to climb up, too.
以上只是其中一說，因?yàn)?on a tree 和 in a tree 的分別，絕對(duì)不是硬性規(guī)定。如果把 the bird in a tree 說成 the bird on a tree，也不會(huì)有人大叫大嚷說你錯(cuò)了。
