(1)基數(shù)詞變序數(shù)詞的規(guī)律：基變序，有規(guī)律。

一、二、三、特殊記，詞尾字母t，d，d.(first， second， third)。

八減t，九去e，(eighth， ninth)， f 來把ve 替。(twelfth)。

單詞ty 作結(jié)尾，ty 變成tie(twentieth)。

a.用來表示時(shí)間例如：2008 年2 月28 日可以表示為February 28th， 2007

c.用來表示樓層例如：He lives on the fourth floor.他住在四樓。

(3)數(shù)詞的用法：

1)表示事物的編號(hào)：

如：the ninth part = part nine 第九部分

2)表示年月日： "年”用基數(shù)詞，“日用序數(shù)詞”。

例如：1949 年10 月1 日—寫法： Oct.。1， 1949.

讀做：Oct. (the ) first， nineteen forty-nine.

2009 年3 月28 日—寫法： March 27， 2009.

讀作： March， (the) twenty-seventh， two thousand and nine.
